Fifth Avenue Conference Room

I.                   Meeting called to order- 6:05

II.                Upcoming Meetings- 6:12

§  September 20^th - Effective Social Networking-How to Network on FB                          and Twitter

§  October 4^th- Leadership Session- Designer will be coming in

§  October 18^th – Townhall (discuss any issues)

§  November 1^st –Last Meeting (theme still needed)

                                    Every meeting will have some guest speaker

III.             Open Positions- 6:15

§  Fashion Merchandising Rep- Elaina Price Running

§  Visual Merchandising Rep- Check with VM Club for someone who is interested

§  Marketing Rep- Christiano Running

§  Management Rep- Representative needed

§  Communication Rep- Representative needed

§  Commuter Rep- StevieLynn Running- In talks with NJ Transit (internet communication)

§  Residential Rep- Christiano possibly running

                                               

                                                -Send out criteria for each position available to SGA      

IV.              Upcoming Events- 6:20

§  September 11 Fundraiser- selling candles ($1.00). Write name of someone you know to remember (Wednesday and Thursday in Fifth Avenue)

§  Joplin Relief- Collecting items to send to Missouri (Anything but clothes)

§  Constitution Day- September 15^th during lunch hour.

§  -Food served and promoting Constitution Day

§  -Leadership Summit- November 15^th (11AM-2PM)

§  -Held in Maxwell Hall.

§  -Meeting to talk of How to Market Your SGA.       

§  -We still need to reach out to more schools

V.                 Club Update- 6:22

                        Styling Club (Amy Sigal)

                        -104 people had signed up

                        -First meeting will be held September 8^th

                        Visual Club (Tara Mangiero)

                        -First Meeting September 7^th

                        -Overall briefing

                        Fashion Show Production (Michelle Hamm)

                        -Ran for officers

                        -Problem with room size

§  Dance Team- (Breanna Carthern)

§  -Auditions Friday (Maxwell Hall 9AM-12PM)

§  FDOT (Andrew Castro)

§  -Talk to Dean of Student Life if FSP is having line in show

§  -Creating line for each semester for fashion show production class

§  Choir (StevieLynn)

§  -Monday Meeting

§  -17 new signups

§  -Budget will be sent out tonight

§  BRAG (Danielle Flowers)

§  -Meeting today- all seemed very interested

§  -Speed Networking Event coming up

VI.              Friends and Family-6: 45

§  October 21^st -23^rd

§  Build Community within the school

§  Get students more involved in college

§  Tickets sold for $20 and all proceeds go to LIM foundation for scholarship

§  Want every club motivated
